A GAP professional including specialist in postharvest, traceability, nutritional and food safety area with more than 26 years of experience including 4 years with the World Vegetable Center (previous name AVRDC) serving as Country Coordinator. Recently, I have successfully completed Global GAP Farm Assurer training program organized by Global GAP Academy, Germany and received the farm assurer certificate from Global GAP Academy after getting the pass mark (more than 70%) in the appeared exam. Recently, I have conducted 18 batches training for LSP and micro entrepreneurs in three hill districts under the umbrella of LEAN project implemented and funded by Helvetas International and EU respectively.

Three modules of the training program; Business management, traceability and critical GAP activities specially focus on food safety issue.

Strong expertise on GAP of vegetables & fruit, postharvest management, value chain development including export market linkage, horticulture based research and development, agro processing, , contract farming with public, private and international organizations. Was head of supply chain knowledge management with USAID funded USAID Horticulture Project and USAID Postharvest Project for reducing postharvest losses of horticultural crops and ensure food safety of produced fruit, vegetables & betel leaf.

Also served as Principal Investigator in a Research work at multinational on Post-Harvest Food Management and Food Safety under Business Drivers for Food Safety (BD4FS) project implemented by Food Enterprise Solutions (FES), USA was supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Feed the Future initiative. The research work was conducted in four countries;Nepal, Ethiopia, Senegal & Rwanda.

I also served as local cool chain specialist in Bangladesh under the World Food Logistic Organization funded by USDA.I served also an individual consultant on export and import of agro products in Bangladesh under Land O’Lakes Venture37 organization funded by USDA. Moreover, has consistently excelled at focusing on sustainable development interventions, building public-private partnerships, developing capacity of associations, local service providers, and fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and improved competitive positioning among business owners and support institutions.

Along with the experiences I also served as translator and interpreter in national and international organizations like Tango International, Gramin Bikash Foundation and Welt Hunger Hilfe. Besides I developed a good number of manuals for government organization, UN organization (WFP) and NGO (World Vegetable Center, Winrock International, CARE).
